Iran is among the world`s leading countries in infertility treatment.

A representative from the Iranian Fertility and Infertility Association states that Iran is making significant advancements in infertility treatment and is now among the world`s leaders in this field.

"Iran`s progress in diagnosing and treating infertility matches that of developed countries, and we face no challenges in this area," said Ashraf Moeini on Friday.

She noted that Iran is innovating methods for infertility treatment and providing fellowship training in obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and reproductive medicine.

Moeini emphasized that the capabilities developed in the country ensure that the success rates for infertile couples in Iran are comparable to those in developed nations.

The professor highlighted that the association is focusing on new treatment methods, as Iran aligns with developed countries in technology and treatment protocols.

"Efforts have been made to facilitate childbearing for infertile couples in Iran, ensuring it occurs in the shortest time possible and at the lowest cost," Moeini stated.

She also mentioned that many countries are drawn to Iran`s achievements in this area, with infertility treatment centers now welcoming patients from numerous neighboring countries and even those in Europe.

According to a report in May, Iran`s knowledge-based companies have successfully localized embryo cryopreservation equipment as part of the country`s medical advances.

The Iranian-made embryo freezing equipment, which costs only one-tenth of the price of foreign alternatives, is now being used in all infertility treatment centers across the country.

Iran is the fourth country in the world, after Japan, Spain, and Canada, to produce embryo cryopreservation equipment. Following Iran, countries such as China, India, Pakistan, and, more recently, Turkey, have also begun manufacturing this technology.
